When observing the drawings done by
individuals living with mental illness, I believe
that there is a possibility of a “therapeutic”
mode of expression, a possibility of
touching “normality” in favor of artistic
expression. In my work, I want to reflect this
process. It is like a roundtrip ticket: the artist
in search of “instability or abnormality” in order
to create, while an individual living with mental
illness is in search of “stability” in order to
create and exist.
