Out of Nowhere There Was A Voice -

De la Nada Surgió una Voz, 2006
Media: Lipstick on Paper
Size: 25 x 25 inches
Provenance: The Artist

Out of Nowhere There Was a Voice is
composed of lip prints on paper. The
incessant, repetitive marking is symbolic of the
obsessive-compulsive mind. The lipstick
prints also reference the mouth, the indicator
of words and speech; they represent the
internal voices of those who live with episodic
and chronic schizophrenia.
