This artwork is the result of an encounter with
Sabitas, a man of approximately 50 years old,
who has a mental illness and lives in a small,
isolated room in rural Honduras. I had a
dialogue with him about several different
matters while doing the first intervention on
the textile. I was awed by Sabitas’ prodigious
memory.
