Media: Acrylic on Canvas
Size: 25 x 25 inches
Provenance: The Artist

Howard Gardner’s Art, Mind and Brain, where
he speaks, among other things, of certain
mental illnesses, inspired me. Gardner takes,
as an example, the case of the French artist,
who became aphasic. The author transcribes
the thoughts of the painter: “Within me there
are two men: the one that paints, who is
normal while painting, and the other , who is
lost in the darkness, who has not become
attached to life.” Inside of me there is the one
that captures reality and the meaning of life,
and there is the other, whose thoughts are
abstract.
